Past Participate CIC

I am Managing Director of Past Participate, a non-profit community interest company that provides high-quality and research-focussed community archaeology. This means we want to excavate things that will make a difference to our understanding of the past. In 2021, we delivered residential field training for University of Exeter undergraduate students as part of their degree programme. We are currently engaged in a programme of village test pitting for the Quantocks Landscape Partnership (2021-2024), having completed a Sarsen Surveying project with volunteers (part-funded by the Farming in Protected Landscapes Fund), and are continuing our community research excavations in Dorset.
